THE E-TWINNING PROJECT


In this new course the students of 1st of ESO will start a new e-twinning challenge. This year the e-Twinning project is about tales and it’s called “Be a reader - Be a leader”. Here you can read about this new project.


Information:
The project is aimed at fostering the love of reading among the students with a special emphasis on tales, drama and modern digital apps. It helps the students realise the value of reading in many aspects in their academic and social life. It also gives them an opportunity of exploring the other cultures, developing their foreign language and digital skills.

Objectives:
-To increase the love of reading of the students.
-To develop their English and ICT skills.
-To help them explore the other countries and cultures.
-To develop their imagination, creativity and international team-work skills.

Work progress:
September:-Forming school teams and mixed international project teams.
October:-Student and school presentations-eTwinning corners at the project school. Presentation of the fairy tales that belong to each country and matching the schools-determining the fairy tales for the stage performances. Tale reading by the students.-Creating a web site and a facebook page and whatsup group for the project.
November- December: Creating a single tale by the school teams and also creating a European Tale by the international teams.-Visiting a local library.
January: Book exchanging between the students. Taking a survey.
February: Choosing a joint book for each international team. Creating mind-maps by the mixed teams-Book of Haul-Book Presentation by the students.
March: April: Creating a joint Teenage Magazine
May: Fairy tale stage performances, project exhibition, final evaluation, final e-book and videos.

Expected results:
Stage performances, mind maps, creating fables,
e books, videos, presentations, final book and video and surveys.
